BMS Resourceful Library: Nurturing Hands‑On Learning and Academic Excellence:
The BMS’ resourceful library is a contemporary space designed to engage pupils and encourage hands-on learning. It serves to enhance academic excellence and achievement by supporting the Cambridge Programme adopted by the BMS. The BMS Library is currently growing and expanding to meet the needs of our growing school population. All BMS pupils from FS1 and up have scheduled classes at the Library where they receive standard-based lessons on themes such as book care, Decimal System, research, and are exposed to different types of literature.
Empowering Independence: Take‑Home Books and Responsible Resource Use at the BMS Library:
Pupils have the option to choose and take-home books during their scheduled class time as well as during open library hours. Not only is this an exercise in exploration and independence, the pupils also have a chance to practice responsible use and care of all learning resources.
Sports & Indoor Play Area
We believe that a sound mind in a sound body and that physical fitness contributes to improved academic performance and achievements, that is why we try to enhance our pupils’ physical and athletic abilities.
Our sport facilities also include a half-Olympic indoor pool and a specialist gym. The BMS employs full-time specialist sports coaches to support the PE team.
BMS believes that swimming, as the best all- round exercise, helps kids to develop strong bones and muscles, and enhances flexibility and co- ordination. Swimming can also help to reduce stress and relieve tension.
In case it is a very hot or a rainy day, BMS has built indoor play area to help kids develop their social skills and to keep them active and healthy.
Classrooms
A stimulating, healthy, supportive, stress-free learning environment is the main feature of the BMS spacious and colourful classrooms. All classrooms are fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology (e.g., interactive, smart boards, digital projectors, Wi-Fi, surveillance systems and PCs loaded with educational software).
Our focus on health in the building extends to the flooring and furniture which are made using anti- bacterial materials. Spacious classrooms have a reading corner designed to foster a love for books. Children are encouraged to spend time there each day.
